There are many ways to get involved with ACM, stateside and overseas. Whether it's a long-term or short-term mission opportunity or volunteering here in the states, ACM provides many ways to serve. Contact us for more information.
STATESIDE
From Fun Runs, Galas, and selling ACM jewelry to Vacation Bible School (VBS) fundraisers, lemonade stands, and inviting ACM to speak with your church or small group, there are many ways to partner with ACM through fundraising. All funds raised help ACM make disciples and transform communities in East Africa. We would love to talk with you more about fundraising ideas.

You can be an advocate! We need individuals, churches, schools, and other groups willing to help raise awareness of the children’s dire circumstances and needs in East Africa. Whether you are organizing a prayer event or sharing with a church group, we would love for you to partner with ACM to help make a difference in a child’s life. Please contact us if you'd like to schedule an opportunity for ACM to speak at your conference or church event (e.g. Mission Sundays, Orphan Care Sundays etc).

Children are capable of achieving so much, but they need sponsors willing to give them a chance. When you sponsor a child, you send the powerful message that you care and you believe there is hope for your child. Your financial partnership provides life’s most essential needs- food, clothing and medical care, but it does not end there. Sponsorship also allows your child to attend school, learn life skills, work directly with an ACM social worker, and hear about Jesus’ love, and receive Christian discipleship. Sponsors encourage and love their child through writing letters, sending pictures, and even visiting their child on an ACM mission trip. If you are interested in sponsoring a child, click here.

Each year, ACM collects various supplies to send to Africa in support of the ministry. Typically, we need children’s clothes, medical supplies, laptop computers, fruit and vegetable seeds, and construction tools. Contact us to find out what supplies are currently needed.

OVERSEAS MINISTRIES
ACM welcomes church groups and individuals to help make disciples and transform communities on short-term mission trips. As a missionary, you have the opportunity to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus Christ to those living in the rural communities we serve. While on a trip, those who sponsor a child through ACM are able to visit their child. Many of our short-term missionaries return each year because of deep relationships formed on their first trip. As a short-term missionary, there are a variety of ways to serve. Often, our missionaries visit children and parents in their homes, teach at primary schools, help construct or repair a child’s home, feed children at school, help in our medical clinic, organize an Activity Day (similar to Vacation Bible School), share the Gospel, lead worship, prayer walk, and help train pastors. Please contact us to find out more about short-term missions.

If you are a student who wants to gain meaningful experience in your field of study while also serving on the mission field, we encourage you to apply for an internship with ACM. From medical care, social work, and accounting to teaching children and training pastors, ACM invites interns to work in a variety of areas. Typically, our internships last two months and students can receive college credit. Contact us to find out more.

If you believe God may be calling you to missionary service, we would like to talk with you about answering God’s call through ACM. We are looking for individuals, couples, and families to serve God in East Africa for a one to four-year, or even career, commitment. We would like to talk with you more about what God is calling you to and about our current missionary needs.

VISIT US
We love having church groups and individuals visit on short-term mission trips. On an ACM mission trip, team members have the opportunity to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus as they serve “some of the least of these.” Often, our missionaries visit children and families in their homes, teach at primary schools, help construct or repair a child’s home, feed children at school, help in the medical clinic, organize an Activity Day (similar to Vacation Bible School), share the Gospel, lead worship, prayer walk, and help train pastors.
Relationships formed on an ACM mission trip, along with a genuine love for the communities we serve, brings many short-term missionaries back over the years to visit. Many short-term missionaries also stay involved with ACM stateside via fundraising and advocacy.
While there are so many ways to make a difference on a mission trip, our missionaries often report that they themselves were transformed and their relationship with Christ deepened from their experience. We are honored to be a part of these communities and for you to become a part of the ACM family.
